YOUDEVISE GAINS SPONSORS FOR THE HIP (THE HEDGE FUND INFORMATION PROVIDER)

(LONDON) January 2006 – youDevise, the Financial Markets Transformation Company™, today announced that it has gained two leading funds of hedge funds as sponsors for the HIP (the Hedge-fund Information Provider). The two sponsors are investing in the project, so they can replace current less formal methods of managing hedge fund investments early in 2006.

"When we first started talking to funds of hedge funds we were surprised to learn that they manage their day-to-day operations on spreadsheets", says Richard Koppel, managing director of youDevise. "The problem for these investment vehicles is that there is no cost-effective means of replacing the spreadsheets. Using our proven Information Distribution Server (IDS) application framework, we have been able to work with our sponsors to design a secure web-based service that provides the management information they need.”

Initially, the service will provide facilities to manage investments. It will analyse current and historical performance, calculate current and forecasted cash and foreign exchange positions, analyse liquidity, and automate data collection and reconciliation from hedge funds and administrators.

Owain McNeill, business manager - alternative investments, explains that “The initial facilities match the priorities of our sponsors. We aim to open up the service to additional firms from the second quarter of 2006. When we do this, we will introduce additional facilities that reflect broader industry needs including management of due diligence information and research.”
