YOUDEVISE & RELEGENCE ENHANCE TRADE IDEA MONITOR WITH
STOCK NEWS, INFORMATION & “HEAT” INDICATORS
NEW YORK & LONDON, June 20, 2006 – youDevise
Limited and The Relegence Corporation today announced an
agreement that enables instant access to Relegence’s
news, information and “heat” indicators for users
of youDevise’s Trade Idea Monitor – the fast
growing electronic communication system sell-side brokers are
employing to send time-sensitive trade ideas to institutional
investors, hedge funds and proprietary trading desks. Trade
ideas are specific recommendations that tell a client when to
buy or sell an equity, long or short, their reasoning, and
how much money to commit to the trade.
“A key value of the Trade Idea Monitor (the TIM), is
fast access to the best trade ideas brokers have to offer in
a format that makes it easy for recipients to promptly put
the information to work,” said Colin Berthoud, Director
of youDevise. “Through Relegence, the TIM is now able
to offer equally fast access to news in a value-added format
that helps users take further advantage of trading
opportunities. If a trader likes the idea and trusts the
broker, they can click to see what the rest of world is
saying, then decide. No need to waste time switching to
another screen or computer, and then hunting for the
information.”
“We are pleased to partner with youDevise and pair
the world's fastest-growing trade idea communication and
management system with our cutting-edge technology to create
a must-have tool for brokers, institutional investors, hedge
funds and proprietary trading desks,” said Steve Fadem,
Relegence’s president and chief executive officer.
“Relegence is the ideal partner for the TIM’s
growing number of users in the U.S., U.K. and Japan. We
feature news and information from 20,000 global information
services, in multiple languages, and simultaneously monitor,
index, and filter content from local and international
newswires, television, blogs, email, regulatory feeds, and
the business-oriented web.”
Relegence is being offered as a premium add-on feature for
the TIM. For an additional cost, news from Dow Jones and
other wire services can also be integrated through
Relegence.
The TIM is accessed using a standard Internet browser on
an on-demand basis, enabling customers to initiate use within
a day. Detailed equity ideas are securely transmitted and
stored at the Repository & Distribution Center, which
youDevise developed as an industry utility for Citigroup,
Credit Suisse, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Merrill
Lynch. Prior to the TIM, sell side ideas were communicated
via telephone, email or by manually keying them in to
multiple client systems. Money managers tracked them on
paper, spreadsheets, or via custom systems.
The TIM was introduced in the U.K. in October 2005,
February 2006 in the U.S., and on Reuters 3000 Xtra terminals
in April 2006.
