YOUDEVISE’S TRADE IDEA TECHNOLOGY CITED FOR “EXCELLENCE IN COMPLIANCE AND REGULATORY CONTROL”

NEW YORK & LONDON, December 4, 2006 – youDevise Limited announced today that the industry utility it built for the communication of equity trade ideas between institutional brokers and their money manager clients won the “Excellence in Compliance and Regulatory Control” award at the 9th annual Institute of Financial Services’ School of Finance/Capgemini Financial Innovation Awards for 2006.

youDevise built the Repository and Distribution Centre (RDC), an industry utility, connecting brokers with their clients and physically storing the ideas, for a consortium consisting of Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Dresdner Kleinwort and Merrill Lynch. youDevise also developed the Trade Idea Monitor (the TIM), a front-end application that links to the RDC and makes it easy for brokers to manage virtual portfolios containing detailed recommendations for institutional clients.

The award noted that, with firms under increasing pressure from regulators to ensure a fair and secure distribution of price sensitive market information, youDevise’s technology “increases the rigour of trade idea comparisons by standardising idea structures and time-stamping ideas on submission.” The award also complimented the technology’s “outside-the-box thinking, which has created equitable access and minimised the chance of leakage of good investment ideas to the market. The growing support attracted by the new utility testifies to its effectiveness.”

He noted that the TIM measures the value of brokers’ buy or sell recommendations for their hedge fund, proprietary trading desk and traditional money manager clients. Both clients and brokers use the TIM to analyze the performance of these ideas, bringing objectivity to clients’ idea selection and commission allocation. Prior to availability of the TIM, trade ideas were communicated via telephone, email or by keying them into multiple client systems, and money managers tracked them on paper or spreadsheets.

In June, youDevise’s trade idea technology won “Innovation of the Year” in The Banker magazine’s annual Technology Awards for 2006.
